For this week’s throwback, we are taking it all the way back to 2016 with a classic look at the roots of the brand. In this video, owner Nick Murphy sits down to share the inspiration behind starting the company back in 2012 after a motivating trip to California.

At its heart, Domain is a core, local skateboard company. Nick explains that Domain is all about embracing skateboarding as a whole—whether you are skating transition, hitting a street double-set, or just doing slappies on a curb. It’s a brand built by the homies, for the homies, with a simple mission: skate, support local shops, and have a good time all the time.
